CAD/FEM/CFD Engineer for Aerodynamics

Chassis & Aerodynamics 3 People

Responsibilities

  • Support Chassis & Aerodynamics Department in design, manufacturing, and testing
  • Design using CAD, simulate using FEM/CFD
  • Manufacture & assemble composite & metall parts
  • Test durability & bring the car to the track thanks to your help

Requirements

  • HTL with focus on Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering/Polymer Engineering or at least 2 semesters of Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering/Polymer Engineering at university
  • CAD experience (mandatory)
  • FEM/CFD experience (preferred)

Cost Report

Finance 1 Person

Responsibilities

  • Collect and structure manufacturing and material cost data from all departments
  • Prepare calculation templates, cost models, and a general outline for the Cost Reports
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of entries with FS cost rules
  • Track environmental impact of the project (CO2 footprint, material sourcing)
  • Create a complete and well-structured CCBOM for integration to the full Cost Report
  • Support the team at the Formula Student Cost and Manufacturing Event

Requirements

  • Strong data management and Microsoft Office skills
  • Precision and consistency
  • Good communication skills
  • High English proficiency
  • Knowledge of environmental assessment (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of technical and machine procedures (preferred)

Suggested study courses

Recruiting & Onboarding

Human Resources 1 Person

Responsibilities

  • Create job advertisements and role descriptions
  • Prepare interviews and the selection process
  • Ensure smooth onboarding
  • Keep an overview of where each person is in the onboarding process
  • Prepare onboarding materials (e.g. tests/tasks, emails)
  • Keep member database updated (new members)
  • Create and send out new e-mail addresses
  • Create presentations for LVA visits

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication – friendly and clear
  • Understanding of data privacy & HR compliance
  • Ability to manage several parallel onboarding processes
  • Empathy and patience when guiding new members
  • Reliability in handling sensitive member data (GDPR or equivalent)
  • Experience with digital tools (e.g. Discord, member databases, e-mail systems)
  • Prior experience in recruiting, onboarding, or student club activities (preferred)

Offboarding & Ticketing

  • Making sure members leave on good terms
  • Making sure the process of removing a member is done correctly
  • Answer HR tickets and tag the responsible team member

Intranet Developer

IT 2 People

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain various tools used in the intranet (e.g. File Naming Tool, DB Manager, Ticket System, or Time Tracking Tool)
  • Work solely on an assigned project and/or collaborate with others and coordinate the work within the group (depending on the size of the project)
  • Ensure code quality, documentation, and usability of the developed tools
  • Support team members in adopting the intranet tools

Requirements

  • Programming skills in web or software development (Frontend: Angular, HTML, CSS, JS; Backend: Java Spring)
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL) and APIs
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate development with Git

Event Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Organize stamp from university for marketing posters and job descriptions (permission to hang them up at Uni)
  • Source supplies (promo items, stickers, etc.) - together with Marketing & Sponsoring
  • Work on marketing materials for events (posters, flyers, etc.)
  • Organize that someone from Marketing attends all events for photos and videos and social media content
  • Discuss content schedule for events with Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Research and contact potential new sponsors
  • Write and send personalized proposals, e-mails, and follow-ups
  • Draft contracts with support from Finance and Law
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with sponsors
  • Coordinate with technical departments to understand in-kind sponsorship needs (materials, services)
  • Attend external events and get into contact with new people (e.g. Zukunftsforum)
